Approaches used by REDO<\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The above mentioned activities are carried out through Build Together, Operate Together, and Transfer (BOT) <\/strong>approaches\u00a0 is a participatory and capacity-building model used by REDO to ensure that communities are actively involved in the development, management, and long-term sustainability of projects. The approach promotes local ownership, strengthens community institutions, and ensures that project benefits continue after external support ends.<\/p>

1. Build Together<\/h3>

During this phase, REDO works closely with community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders to jointly identify needs, plan interventions, and implement project activities.<\/p>

Key features:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Participatory needs assessment and planning.<\/li>
  • Community contribution through labor, local materials, land, or financial resources where possible.<\/li>
  • Joint construction or establishment of project infrastructure and systems.<\/li>
  • Capacity building and skills development for local stakeholders.<\/li><\/ul>

    2. Operate Together<\/h3>

    Once the project is established, REDO continues to work alongside beneficiaries and local institutions to manage and operate the project while providing technical support and mentoring.<\/p>

    Key features:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Shared management responsibilities between REDO and community groups.<\/li>
    • Training on operation, maintenance, governance, and financial management.<\/li>
    • Continuous monitoring and learning.<\/li>
    • Strengthening local leadership and institutional capacity.<\/li><\/ul>

      3. Transfer<\/h3>

      After local stakeholders have acquired sufficient capacity and experience, REDO formally transfers full ownership, management, and responsibility for the project to the community or relevant local institutions.<\/p>

      • Handover of assets, knowledge, and management systems.<\/li>
      • Formal agreements and documentation where necessary.<\/li>
      • Continued local operation without dependence on external support.<\/li>
